The Maurice on the Moon curriculum is designed to integrate the action of the story with meaningful activities that integrate science and mathematics with the action of the story. Students follow the adventures of Maurice and Cassie with classroom activities. For instance, when Maurice and Cassie are trapped in a crater on the Moon, your students can make their own lunar landscape to map and explore. Most of the activities are easily scalable from 5th to 9th grade. The mathematical component can be kept to a minimum, or accelerated to challenge GATE students. Lessons are available as individual downloads, or as a complete curriculum package.
